SWAGILICIOUS

Sons of Anarchy fans have truly blown me away this season.  You folks are smart, insightful and absolutely insane.  My kinda folks.  So tonight, after the finale, regardless of how many fucking Twitter followers I have, I will be giving away swag.  Five winners from my blog followers, ten from Facebook and ten from Twitter.  And so I can't be accused of playing favorites and just picking hot chicks and critics (in Mo Ryan's case that's the same thing), I will pick random numbers and count them off the list of followers.

I will post the winners here on my blog and upload the link to Twitter and Facebook.

I've got minimal swag at my office (it's pathetic, I gotta like blow people for fucking T-shirts) so the gifts will mostly be signed scripts, perhaps a couple of shirts and SOA season one DVDs.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION UNLESS I PICK YOUR NAME TONIGHT.  I LOVE YOU, BUT I DON'T NEED TO KNOW WHERE YOU ALL LIVE...

If I DO pick you:
- from my blog, post a comment with your name and mailing address (obviously I will not post it).
- from Facebook or Twitter send me a direct message with the info.

I hope you dig the finale.  I'm very proud of it.  It's one thing to write for my cast, but to be able to work with them as actors and direct is such a fucking joy.  I learn so much from my cast and crew.

Anyway... enjoy "The Troubles".

  5. Swag sounds great! Really looking forward to the big finale. Sorry you couldn't get the OK from Springsteen to use Adam Raised a Cain, but it's his loss IMO.

  6. I have mixed emotions about tonight. I'm sad to see the season end. Thank you for treating us fans like family!

  7. That's dope. I think an autographed script would be one of the coolest things you could send out. Looking forward to the season finale!

  8. Yet ANOTHER reason why you are probably the greatest creator working on television right now (sorry Matt Weiner & Vince Gilligan)! SoA reminds me that despite working on crappy-reality tv shows, I am still apart of a brilliant medium and that I should continue to strive and push my own ideas out there as well. Because when such an amazing drama can continuously get BETTER...it just means that smart people are watching and creating good TV!

  9. I've got faith in your writing and directing. So I'm on the edge of my fucking seat for tonight. I'll be keeping the beer close by so I don't have to get up.

  10. I just wanted to thank you for this show. Never seeing a show on Tv that truly grasps the underworld of small town life. Growing up in life situations similar to some of your drama griping episodes and the moral strength of Jax is just inspiring to people from the streets. I have laughed, screamed and cried at the screen as I watch your show, Thank you for giving me something that was an emotional roller coaster and life changing all in one.

  11. I am so excited for the show tonight. I am kind of said my Tuesdays will be so boring without SOA. My friends will actually hear me talk about something else. I love the show you are awesome and thanks for creating something so amazing! I cannot wait for season 3. Will have to watch SOA season 1 (on repeat) while I wait :)

  14. I am very much looking forward to the finale. The ups and downs of the club have really been fun to watch and experience. All that will be left is to wait anxiously to see which awesome guest stars will be around in Season 3. As a long time fan of Henry Rollins, I've enjoyed seeing him stretch his chops a bit. And seeing Adam Arkin in a completely different role than the one he played on NBC's "Life" is something else!
Plus, bravo for grabbing Titus Welliver. He's like the magic spice that makes any show that much better.

My goal over the break is to get people hooked on SOA like I got them hooked on Dexter. Nothing is more fun to watch than SOA. Thanks.

  15. I am not gonna let anything pull me away from this evenings show!
I am amazed at the quality of the acting and the writing. Season one started out iffy...but season 2 has wiped out season one and made a believer out of me!

Gemma is one hell of a gal...
Thanks for hanging in there and bringing us un-believers to your table...don't think I will doubt your work ever again!

    You done good!

  23. I am so excited for tonight's finale but it's a mixed bag cuz after this it's a loooooooooong drought.

I love me some SAMCRO! Bring on the finale!

  24. We love you and you love us, I guess we have a deal there.

I hope a Dutch network will get the broadcast rights for the show soon, I have to follow it via other ways right now unfortunatly.

  25. Can't remember ever getting into any TV like this. You have captured the look, feel & emotion of club life, something that few citizens have had the opportunity to experience. Having been there, it makes your show that much more appealing to me. Reminds me of some very good times. Rock on with SAMCRO,good luck to you & yours for many future seasons.

  26. I can't wait much longer. Just a few more hours. I can't wait to see what happens. It is going to be so orgasmic.

  27. Many of my friends and I got turned on to the show down range and I just wanted to thank you for the brilliant work. The first episode this season I had 16 rowdy Soldiers in my living room eagerly watching. As the episode progressed we cheered and smiled as things finally went "right" for the Sons and no one could utter a word by the end of the show but it was a huge topic the next day at work. I will be down range again when the next season starts but it will be a welcome gift whenever it reaches me. Sincerly thanks.

  28. It's bittersweet - wanting so bad to know how it all turns out AND waiting until the next season. It's been a wonderful ride, my friend. Thank you so much!

  29. The swag is a great idea, and Lord I hope I win!! Looking forward to the finale tonight, and I'm sure I'll watch the episode more than once as I always do. Thanks again for everything!

  30. Got my bottle of Jack, my Camacho cigar, and if only my SAMCRO tshirt was here. Why does it have to be the finale already?

    ReplyDelete
  31. THANK YOU Kurt Sutter! for your amazing storytelling and for bringing me the beautiful Charlie Hunnam to watch every week(sigh). Enjoy the break, but PLEASE don't make us wait a whole year for the next fix! Is there a site to encourage Emmy voters to watch Katey's performance this season? :)

  32. While I'm certain all of us here will dig the show, perched on the couch, cheering and screaming as the drama unfolds, I personally, am bummed. How long before season 3? What will I do with myself during the time I've set aside each week to dedicate to the Sons? I'm dreading the withdrawls I know will consume me tonight as the credits roll and for weeks to come. Perhaps a tshirt will soothe my misery, or any of the other badass swag you're handing out, but I doubt it. My heart aches at the thought of this show's passing into hiatus.

Was that pathetic enough to qualify for swag..grin..? Thanx for the great job on the show. Looking forward to next season.

  33. Well you have let us hanging this time. What a great finale.
You are an amazing piece of work.thank you for giving my family (some of which are bikers)and I something worth watching.

  34. You have to bring back the SOA season 3 way sooner than 9 months! I cannot believe it's over for the season. I must say that this is the best show on TV today. FX is also the best network since the second best show (IMO) is Damages. Keep it coming, cause SOA is the best yet!

  35. Just saw the finale, WHEN IS SEASON 3??????????????

  36. I just wanted to tell you that I am a nervous wreck after watching Ep 13! I am not bitching by no means. your are one hell of a damn writer and you directed the shit out of this EP. 37. I could not believe this finale!!! I'm not commenting on anything specific, since there are sure to be some who haven't seen it yet. But, HOLY COW, where do you get this stuff??? I don't know that I'd want to live inside your head, but I'd love to have even one iota of your talent!!!! Even my husband, who is never surprised, was blown away!!! Today was my daughter's 14th birthday and this was the only thing she was adamant about - THAT SHE NOT MISS THE START OF SOA AND EVERYONE SHUT THE HELL UP WHILE IT'S ON!!!! The show has really brought our family together on Tuesday nights :) Thanks Kurt and crew; you all rock our world!!!

  44. I've have been a fan from ep. 1. I love this show. I got my wife into it. Both dedicated fans the best show on tv.I grew up around bikers and outlaws and this show is dead on.Not just the violence but the moral charcter of the show. You do what it takes to get by! It's not good and evil but something beyond that and you get that so well. Great show keep up the good work man! P.S. Sucks hard about the prospect! I was looking forward to his charcter develoment can't wait for season 3!

  45. Just wanted to say that this series is the best thing to come around in a long time. I got my wife into the mix and the Final episode had us both on edge. We both can't wait for next season to start. Thank you for the experience.

  46. I said it on FB & I'll say it again, Katey better get an Emmy & you deserve one too!! Love your blog & follow it regularly. Thanks for even thinking of giving away your meager swag! You give us plenty just by giving us SAMCRO. :o>

  47. Loved the finale. A lot of tension throughout. You plan on taking on more directorial duties or just special events/episodes? Anyway, great shit man.

  48. God, the finale was incredible! Jax absolutely broke my heart at the end.

So many great twists and turns - truly a masterpiece - thank you!

  49. If we have a question for you and/ or the cast how may we contact if we can. I have an idea for a character. I know you said no solicitation but I just have to get this out. Not asking for a job or anything just feedback. Thanks

  50. Sutter, you suck...us right in. The finale rocked. Enough loose ends and enough closure to make it score. Can't wait for Season 3. Thanks!

  53. ok..watched the show and here goes:

I volunteer to personally off the FBI bitch, straight up.
NOBODY would walk away when a rat's cornered, club or otherwise, that was lame. I get ya gotta continue the story line but was a bit too daytime soap opera level for this quality of a show. Kill him, be done, write in a new nemeses.
No ol' lady would disappear without sending word, especially in the midst of lock down/war, especially not the Prez' woman, and not Gemma who's about family.
When you said it was a Hamlet redo, then deaths were expected and Sack, being a prospect, well, that makes sense, no biggie, but offing the baby is gonna be kinda hard. Again, makes sense, not a key player, just part of what was keeping Jax human. Bummer if that's where you're going..BUT, you really left us all with a doozie of a cliff hanger. See ya next year...

  54. I am blown away. Kurt, what a masterpiece. I am not sure where you generate the store lines but I am uncertain if I would want to go there. Thanks for sharing what is obviously a deep and genuine talent. I directed so many people towards this piece of great entertainment and thought provoking series, what a easy sell it is. Keep up the great work and take the summer off, you deserve it. Cheers.

  55. Oh, give your wife a fat hug for kicking a lot of ass this season too. She was frikin' great!! Cheers.....

  57. Kurt:

You are KILLING me!!! Thank you for an amazing season finale. You didn't pussy out on any part of this, and I'm anxiously waiting season 3.

What I love about SOA is that every character is neither good nor evil - just human.

Whoever does your casting totally rocks!!

Kudos to your entire cast - particulary Tommy Flanagan.

Katie Sagal is the most talented women of our time - thanks for giving her such a great role to work with.

sign me as "Autumn Huntress" -

I know you don't post personal info (and I truly don't want you t0), but if you have any questions/comments, I'm at alice@jagtiani.com.
